The top 10 'American Idol' guys sang for one of 5 spots. Although there were 10 performances, only 3 stood out.  There were good singers and then there was Lazaro Arbos, Burnell Taylor and Curtis Finch Jr, who were just in a different league.

LAZARO ARBOS
It amazes me every time Lazaro Arbos opens his mouth to sing.  Despite his stutter, he sings beautifully.  His performance of Michael Buble's 'Feeling Good' had everyone feeling good.  I have no doubt Lazaro will sail through to next week.

BURNELL TAYLOR
Burnell Taylor keeps getting better and better. The Louisiana native, who survived hurricane Katrina and lost 40 pounds since his audition, had judge Keith Urban on his feet after singing 'I'm Here' from 'The Color Purple.'  It was the same song from his audition but it still gave me chills.  Burnell will join Lazaro in next week's Top 10.

CURTIS FINCH JR
Curtis Finch Jr took us all to church with R Kelly's 'I Believe I Can Fly.'  His performance got his a standing ovation from all 4 judges.  Although Curtis has a voice from above, he's a little over the top sometimes and he needs to learn a little humility.  I have no doubt he'll make it through, but viewers may get sick of all his vocal runs and his cockiness, quick.

Country hopeful Paul Jolly made a strange music choice; going with Christina Aguilera's 'Just A Fool.'  His performance wasn't well received, with Keith Urban saying it was 'disconnected' and 'theatrical' in parts.  Jolly, who wants to be the 'male version of Taylor Swift,' better choose country songs and learn to connect with the viewers, if he makes it through, which I doubt.

Early favorite Charlie Askew did a 180.  He went from the adorable, awkward kid, to an angry rocker.  His performance didn't sit well with any of the judges.  He'll only move on if America saw his earlier performances.

The top 5 girls and top 5 guys will be announced tonight on Fox at 8. Who was your favorite from the guys?
