Keith Urban Performs ‘Long Hot Summer’ on American Idol Before One More is Sent Home – Top 8 Elimination Recap [VIDEO]

The 'American Idol' Top 8 have become the Top 7, as one more contestant is sent home.  Before last night's elimination, Keith Urban treated us to a hot performance of 'Long Hot Summer.'  You can watch below.  Aretha Franklin also called to compliment Kree Harrison on her performance of 'Don't Play That Song,' saying she 'put that one away' and she wouldn't be going anywhere.  She didn't, but who did?

It came down to, as predicted, Devin Velez and Lazaro Arbos.  Devin was the guy at the bottom, singing for his life.  After his performance, the judges decided not to use their one save of the season, sending Devin home.  Watch a recap of the night in the montage video below.

Carrie Underwood and Casey James return to the Idol stage next week for Classic Rock week.  Both will perform on Thursday's elimination episode.
