Trailer Choir's Big Vinny went from a Type 2 diabetic, weighing 450 pounds to a healthy 240 pounds thanks to the Biggest Loser.  And now he's giving back. Vinny donated his Biggest Loser workout shirt before he lost all his weight for the Tour de Cure.  Don't worry, he washed it first.  I smelled it.  But the shirt does have a tear in the bottom.  I wonder if he ripped it in a fit of anger.

Vinny has been my motivation to not only get on the bike, which I'm not comfortable with yet, but to ride 15 miles in the Tour de Cure, June 3rd at Verona Beach State Park.  Vinny not only took the time to talk with me about his fight with diabetes and how to keep going, even when you feel like quitting, he's donated a number of items to our raffle.

Vinny was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes before going on the Biggest Loser and getting his life and weight in order.  He's looking and feeling great and still gets in his daily workouts.  Vinny and Butter are also hitting the road again to play their music to fans.

Tour de Cure training gets underway tonight at Paragon Athletic Club in the Par Technology Park in New Hartford at 5:30pm with Dan from Schuss Ski & Bike Shop.  If you want to join the team and train, stop by tonight.  We'll also have a calendar of upcoming training sessions later this week.  So check back to see if you can make any of the sessions and join the fight against diabetes.

A big thank you to everyone who has joined my team to ride in the Tour de Cure and to those who donated.  Every dollar counts and your generosity is appreciated.  Give what you can and support the American Diabetes Association.
