Polly Nails Beams & Golf Balls At This Huge Project In Hamilton
Week two of Let's Get Started brings Polly and Carl to a new building project with Curtis Lumber. They're spending the day with Ashcraft Builders, helping Jordan and his team on a massive guest house going up in Hamilton.
What's most interesting about the house, aside from it's size, is what it's being made out of. Jordan says a majority of the home is being built with pieces of wood and lumber from an old barn. Though you can't see it yet, the siding picked for the exterior will be from barns in the 1800's. As for the interior, the beams will also be reused from old barns and homes across the state.
This must be a common theme with the home owner. The house next door, which has the same owner, has a barn on the property that dates back to the early 1800's. Jordan and his team were hired to help transport the barn from it's original spot in Norwich, all the way over to the new property in Hamilton.
Polly got the perfect mixture of fun and play while on the site. She got trusted with the nail gun and went to work on the upper level of the house. They also trusted her enough to grab a club and hit a golf ball from the second floor.
Watch for more Let's Get Started projects from Curtis Lumber every Friday.
