We love the Great New York State Fair in the Greg "Splashin'" McShea household. In fact, my daughter and I (and sometimes other family members too) make our annual pilgrimage to the fair in Syracuse and have a ball! Now, you can participate in coming up with a theme for this year's fair.

Boys Scouts Bringing Rock Wall to FrogFest

The Boys Scouts will be bringing a rock wall back to the Wild West FrogFest & Rodeo this year. The wall is 24 feet high, and 2 people can climb at one time with different climbing challenges.

So get ready to strap on your safety helmet and harness to see how fast you can get to the top. Challenge your friends or family members. It's fun for the kids and kids at heart.

Saranac Thursday Tonight – Just A Few Left

For those of you who have never been, it's live music and fun outdoors in the parking lot of the F.X. Matt Brewing Company, at the corner of Court and Varick Streets in Utica.

Rodney Atkins put on a great show at the Wild West FrogFest and Rodeo, but it's his closing number that has everyone talking. Not only did he throw the microphone into the audience a number of times so fans could sing "If You're Going Through Hell," he also brought 10 year old Andrew on stage to help him sing. Rodney Atkins blew the roof off this at the Wild West FrogFest and Rodeo. Not only did he put on one heck of a performance by singing all his hits, his new music and tributes to Garth Brooks, Chris Ledoux and Charlie Daniels, but he's a really nice guy too. He took some time to sign autographs after the show, before he got back on his bus to go home and celebrate Father's Day with his kids.

The sun was out, the temperatures were hot, the bands were great and the Big Frog 104 fans were having an amazing time. Saturday was the Wild West FrogFest and Rodeo at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds and it was a fun time had by all.

I have been to all twenty-three Frogfests but have rarely, if ever, seen the level of enthusiasm as I did yesterday at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. Great music from Tim Creaser, The Chuck Primo Band, The Custom Taylor Band, Jeff Bates and the incredible Rodney Atkins along with the excitement of the Painted Pony Rodeo made for a super day of fun in the sun. Thanks also to the Utica Observer Dispatch for their fine story in this morning's issue.

His latest "Take A Back Road" is the first song off the CD that he expects to have out sometime late summer. He says the songs popularity has grown faster than anyone anticipated, which is a good thing, but now he's working hard to get the rest of the tracks cut for the album and get it out to his fans.
