The Purge 4 Shooting Scenes in Buffalo

Is upstate New York becoming the new Hollywood? The latest installment in the Purge series is shooting scenes in Buffalo.

Cast and crew from The Purge: Island are expected to be in the city until November and will bring jobs for hundreds of people, including extras, crew and vendors according to WIVB.

The film is a prequel focusing on the events that lead up to the very first Purge event. It stars Y'lan Noel and Lex Scott Davis and will be released July 4, 2018 according to Blumhouse, the company producing the film.

Hollywood seems to be moving into upstate New York. Buffalo Native Bill Fichtner returned home to film ‘Cold Brook’ this Summer.

The Office star John Krasinski has been in Little Falls shooting scenes for his movie 'A Quiet Place,' that will star his wife Emily Blunt. Ben Stiller was in Plattsburg for his movie Escape From Dannemora.
