Before You Tailgate at a Bills Game, You Need to Know These New Rules
New Tailgating Rules at Highmark Stadium This Season
If you're heading to Highmark Stadium this season, you may want to read up on the new tailgating rules before firing up the grill.
The Buffalo Bills have released updated guidelines, and while you can still enjoy one of the NFL's best tailgating traditions, there are a few things you'll need to keep in mind.

Your Tailgate Has a Size Limit
Every parking space includes a standard 9-foot by 18-foot parking spot, plus a 9-foot by 10-foot tailgating area directly behind your vehicle.

That means your chairs, tables, coolers, grills, games, and everything else need to stay within that designated space.
In other words, don't be that group that slowly takes over half the parking lot before kickoff.

Keep Emergency Lanes Clear
The Bills are also reminding fans that emergency lanes, drive aisles, and crosshatched areas must remain completely open at all times.
Your truck tailgate, canopy, cornhole boards, or grill can't block traffic or emergency vehicles.
It might seem obvious, but when thousands of fans are setting up at once, it's easy for things to spread out farther than intended.

Clean Up After Yourself
This one shouldn't surprise anyone.
The Bills want fans to leave their tailgating area looking the way they found it. That means throwing away all trash in the proper receptacles before heading inside.
Don't leave tied-up trash bags sitting next to your vehicle. If it's garbage, it belongs in a trash can.

Tailgating Ends at Kickoff
If you're the type who likes to hang around the parking lot while the game starts, that's no longer an option.
Tailgating officially ends at kickoff, and everyone in the parking lots is expected to enter the stadium with a valid game ticket.

Bills Legendary Tailgates
Buffalo Bills fans have built a national reputation for legendary tailgates, and these new rules aren't meant to take away the fun. They're simply designed to keep everyone safe, keep traffic moving, and make cleanup a little easier after thousands of fans spend the day cheering on the Bills.
So fire up the grill, play a few rounds of cornhole, enjoy your wings and beverages... just make sure your party stays inside your parking space.
