Hollywood Comes to Buffalo as Bill Fichtner Returns Home to Film ‘Cold Brook’ Movie
William Fichtner is bringing Hollywood home to Buffalo. He's in town to shoot his new movie 'Cold Brook.'
Co-star Kim Coates co-wrote the film about two small-town men who embark on a big-time adventure and, ultimately, do the right thing. 24 local actors will join Coates and Fichtner on set at different locations around Buffalo including SUNY Buffalo State campus.

Fichtner has appeared in TV and film for years including Armageddon, The Perfect Storm, Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down, The Longest Yard, The Dark Knight and Independence Day. But 'Cold Brook' will be his first time behind the camera as he makes his directing debut. Filming is expected to last through July.
Fichtner grew up in Cheektowaga and tells Spectrum News he has a constant reminder of Buffalo at home. "My kids are huge Buffalo Bills fans. They love to be here. I love to be here." Fichtner has been in L.A. 12 years and 28 in New York City before that but "it's not home. Home is when I'm here in Buffalo. Always was, always will be."
