Remember Karma Little, the girl fighting cancer who asked for police patches for her birthday? She's getting her wish thanks to not only central New York police departments but departments from the world.

Karma was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma at age 3. The Georgia girl turns 7 on July 26th and just wanted patches instead of presents.

We put Karma's birthday wish on our Facebook page and asked you to share and spread the word. It spread all right - all across the U.S., Canada and even New Zealand. We received patches, coins, gifts and even a police shirt from Nassau County New York.

Central New York police departments showed their love and support to Little. We saw patches from Rome, Oneida County Sheriffs, Kirkland, New York State Police, Hamilton, Oneida Nation, New York Correctional, Cicero, Saratoga, Albany, Rochester, Buffalo, Yonkers, and several others from the Empire State.

Then there were patches from almost every state in the U.S. and several packages from retired officers who sent their entire collection from over the years. The U.S. Pentagon even sent a patch. How cool is that?

What would a birthday be without a few cards and gifts? Karma got those too. Police departments sent stuffed animals, t-shirts, necklaces and sunglasses.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Central New Yorkers sure know how to answer the call. Whether it's helping after massive flooding or something as simple as sharing a Facebook story about a girl collecting patches, you sure know how to show everyone how to spread the love.

All the love and support from New York and around the world is still coming in, with several packages arriving in the mail everyday. We will send out everything at once to Karma for her birthday. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
