Kid Rock Cancels New York Concert Tour Stop Over Vaccination Mandate
Kid Rock is gearing up for a concert tour, but he refuses to step foot inside any venue where vaccination or mask mandates are in place which means he's already had to scrap one stop at a New York state venue.
Kid Rock posted on his Facebook page to let fans know that under no circumstance will he perform a concert at any venue that refuses to admit concertgoers who are unable to show proof of being vaccinated against COVID-19. Rock also said that he will not perform in any venue that has a mask mandate in place.
Buffalo was originally on the list of cities where Rock's concert tour would make a stop, however, the musician decided to scratch Buffalo from his list of stops due to mandates saying, “It’s actually kind of unfortunate. We actually scratched Buffalo, New York off the list because of that and Toronto, Canada, and several other cities we were looking at. I don’t want to deal with that sh*t either."
Those vehemently against mask and vaccination mandates have been vocal in their stance that nothing will sway them, not even their favorite musician going on tour and Rock knows this. In the video that he posted, Rock said, “There’s been a lot of talk about vaccine mandates and venues. People saying, ‘I’m not going to that venue because of the vaccine mandate’ and this, that and the other."
While Rock says he is not one way or another on the subject of vaccinations and mandates, he did say that he will not be performing at any venues which require either and noted that if he shows up to a venue and finds out that mandates have been placed without his knowledge, "Trust me, you don’t have to worry. You’ll be getting your money back because I won’t be showing up either."
You can listen to what Kid Rock had to say in its entirety, however, you should note that this is not suitable for all ears.
