Tad Pole – Why Can’t I Throw Things Away

I can't seem to throw some things away.  More than likely these items have no use to me anymore or anyone else.  But I just can't seem to let them go.  I know it makes my wife and my boss (not one in the same) crazy with all these things everywhere.  Check out my collection.

I just can't throw away cd's.  For most, you wouldn't have CD's you didn't want.  But because I work at Big Frog 104, people are always sending me their CD's.  Most are people you have never heard of and never will, they can't sing or the song just stinks.  Still I just stack them up.  Once in a while I'll need a jewel case, so I'll toss one and use the case.  This picture is just a small portion of the hundreds I hold on to like they're gold.

Phone numbers are another thing I just can't seem to lose.  Despite a phone that holds a million contacts, I still keep the paper versions.  They're spilling out of the rolodex.  Many  are just a name and a number scratched on a piece of paper, I don't even know what they're about.  So if you have called me and I haven't returned your call it's probably in there somewhere.  Call back, please!

I'm a great guy to know if you're moving.  I've always got boxes.  If I'm not going to throw them away, why don't I use them to hold all the other stuff?

Maybe there is hope for me.  Just this past weekend, I finally tossed the Christmas tree from last year.  Hey, you have to take baby steps.  What are the items you can't part ways with?  Is there one thing of your significant others you would love to toss?
