‘Cute Kid’ of the Day is a One-Armed Pitcher Who Throws a No-Hitter
Our ‘Cute Kid‘ of the day, Coleman Shannon was born without a right hand and forearm, due to a medical condition called Amelia, but that hasn’t slowed him down from chasing his baseball dreams. In fact, the 14-year-old left-handed pitcher recently threw a no-hitter in a Johnsonville, SC little league game.

“The other night, when he pitched the no-hitter, that was a tearful moment,” Kyle Daniel, one of Shannon’s proud coaches, said. “When you think about what he’s been through and how much it’s taken him just to get to this point, when he went out and threw the no-hitter, it was just a cheerful time for everyone.”
Shannon does way more than pitch and field — he’s an accomplished hitter who went 2-for-2 and delivered the game-winning hit in another little league matchup last week.
Oh, and did we mention he also knows how to play the guitar and hunt? When he was 2, he rejected his prosthetic arm and has since proved he never needed it to begin with.
