It seems every time a country artist or rodeo participant makes their first trip to Central New York, they're amazed that it's not a part of New York City. So a few days ago we began the search for CNY cowboys and found Mark Hoffman of Durhamville. Today we get to spend a few minutes with Kev Smith of Verona.

Yogurt may be good for losing weight and clearing your arteries, but it clogs up the highway. WBNG-TV in Binghamton reports that the highway was closed for several hours late Monday night for cleanup.
Broome County Sheriff's Deputies say a tractor trailer hauling Chobani Yogurt got on the ramp to Interstate 81 too fast. When it rounded a curve, the trailer slid over the embankment and spilled 36,000 pounds of yogurt on the shoulder and down the hillside.

Mother's Day racing this weekend at Utica Rome Speedway will honor one of the tracks favorite drivers of all time, J.J. Michaels. According to the Utica Rome Speedway website, J.J. raced and won at 4 Central New York track, picking up 21 of his 49 wins at Utica Rome.
J.J. Michaels was one of the most popular local drivers at the Utica-Rome Speedway during his career, with both fans and drivers alike. J.J. was aggressive, yet smooth and clean, on the track which earned him the respect of his competitors and endeared to the fans.
