Cars have certainly come a long way in 8 years, which is how long its been since I've been in a new vehicle.  It's day one of my Passat story

My new 2012 Volkswagon Passat, for the next week, has everything and more.  You've heard the saying, 'all the bells and whistles.'  This car has the whole parade of features.  You don't even need a key to drive it.  It not only has keyless entry, but all you have to do is put your hand on the door handle and the car automatically opens.  Push a button and it starts.  And the best part; you can't lock the key you don't really need, in the car.  Which is a good thing, since I left it in the cup holder when I got home from picking it up at Rome Volkswagon Saturday and tried to lock the car.  It won't lock if the keys are inside.  How the car knows where the keys are, I have no idea.  Once the keys are outside the car, all you have to do is push your thumb on the handle and it locks.  So high tech and so cool!

Then you get inside the vehicle with the GPS, hands free phone and ways to plug in your iPad, iPod or MP3 player.  Since I'm not that high tech, I just cranked up Big Frog 104 in HD and enjoyed the sound from the Fender speakers.  I can't wait to play with all the features.

The best thing about the 2012 Passat.  It's made in America at a plant in Chattanooga Tennessee.  And Volkswagon helps you take care of your new Passat with 3 years of scheduled maintenance free including oil change and tire rotation.

I'm off to grocery shop today to test out the trunk size that always has golf clubs in it.  Will there be enough room?  We'll soon find out.  Check back tomorrow to see what else I'll discover on the 2012 Passat.  Take a look for yourself online or take a test drive at Rome Volkswagon.  Tell them Polly Wogg sent you.
