Stampede Steakhouse Fire ‘Suspicious’
The fire that destroyed the Stampede Steakhouse in Verona is being called 'suspicious.'
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says after an investigation the blaze is 'suspicious in nature,' according to WIBX 950.
Several fire departments were called to the restaurant at Routes 235 and 31 around 4am Sunday, January 10th. The building was a total loss. The only thing left standing was the iconic bull.
The landmark restaurant opened in 1965 as Joel’s Steakhouse. The restaurant became the Stampede Steakhouse in 2014.
