Young Fan & Soldiers Steal the Spotlight at Fort Drum Concert
SALUTE TO THE TROOPS BRINGS MUSIC AND MOMENTS TO FORT DRUM
Fort Drum turned into one big celebration during the 14th annual “Salute to the Troops” free tribute concert, and this year’s lineup brought plenty of energy, emotion, and a few unforgettable surprises.
Chayce Beckham took the stage and gave the crowd exactly what they came for—music that hits a little harder when you’re standing in front of a sea of soldiers, families, and supporters. But the moment that really stole the night didn’t come from the stage alone.
Nine-year-old Danielson was invited up to join Beckham for a special moment, helping sing along to Beckham’s hit “23.” And just like that, what started as a concert turned into one of those once-in-a-lifetime memories you don’t really plan for.
JUMP, JUMP, JUMP
Not to be outdone, headliner Nate Smith kept the energy rolling and then took it up another level.
During his set, he invited a handful of guests—including several soldiers—up on stage to sing along.

Or maybe “sing along” is putting it lightly. It turned into more of a full-on jump-along situation.
Smith had the crowd bouncing, clapping, and fully locked into the moment.
