The Stampede Steakhouse site is for sale. The property at the corner of Routes 365 and 31 in Verona has sat empty since the restaurant burned down over two years ago. The owner is now offering the site for sale or lease.

The historic restaurant burned to the ground in the early morning hours of January 10th, 2016. The only thing left was the iconic bull that is still standing today.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department deemed the fire 'suspicious' but an investigation didn't result in any charges being filed.

The restaurant opened in 1965 as Joel’s Steakhouse and became the Stampede Steakhouse in 2014.

The sale was posted on Facebook and from the comments, most people are more interested in purchasing the bull than the property.
