Spectrum Raising Prices November 1st
It'll cost you more for cable and internet if you have Spectrum. The company is raising prices next month.
Starting November 1, customers will see an increase in their Spectrum bill. Service charges, receivers and internet prices are all going up.
Service charge - $8.85 to $9.95
Receivers - $6.99 to $7.50
Internet (with TV subscription) - $54.99 to $59.99
Internet (without TV) - $64.99 to $65.99
Spectrum Voice and Spectrum TV prices will remain the same.
New York's Public Service Commission voted to rescind their approval of Charter Communications (doing business as Spectrum) for not providing better internet service and demanded the company leave the state.
Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi is working to get customers rebate checks before Spectrum moves out of New York for not providing services promised.
Customers haven't been happy with Spectrum and a recent JD Powers survey proves it. The company's cable and telephone service ranked dead last in provider satisfaction. The internet service didn't do much better, coming in second last. And the hike in prices isn't going to satisfy customers either.
