'The Champ' is the saddest movie of all time. A study at UC Berkeley proved the film made the most people cry. There are a number of great tearjerkers. You let us know what you thought was the saddest movie on Facebook and by calling, so I thought I'd take a look at some movies you said you'll need a box of tissues for.

    'The Champ'

'The Champ' was filmed in 1979 with Jon Voight and a little Ricky Schroeder. The final death scene is what made everyone tear up. I'll have to admit I've never seen the movie. I'll save it for a day I feel like a good cry. Everyone has those days once and awhile.

    'Old Yeller'

'Old Yeller' is a Walt Disney film that came out in 1957 about a boy and his dog. The tissues come out when the dog has to be put down after getting rabies.

    'Steel Magnolias'

'Steel Magnolia' had an all star cast with Dolly Parton, Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah and Julia Roberts. Its a chick flick, so grab the girls, a bottle of wine and box of tissues. The best part about this sad scene, is you'll find yourself in tears and laughing at the same time.

    'Beaches'

'Beaches' with Bette Middler and Barbara Hershey gets me every time. As soon as I hear the first few notes of 'Wind Beneath My Wings,' I'm done. And I'm not alone. We had several votes for this movie.

    'Love Story'

'Love Story' with Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw was a blockbuster in 1970 when it first came out and launched Ali MacGraw's acting career. It was before my time and although I've never seen the movie, I've heard it's instantly recognizable theme song.

    'Marley & Me'

'Marley & Me' with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson is one of the biggest tearjerkers there is, especially if you're a dog lover. I cried just searching for a you tube video to put in this post. And I only watched about 30 seconds. On the other hand there are so many funny parts throughout the movie, you'll find yourself laughing so hard you have tears too.

    'The Notebook'

'The Notebook' with James Garner, Gena Rowlands, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams is a love story about how love can last through anything, including Alzheimer disease. The final scene where the couple passes away in the same bed is so touching, it'll surely bring a tear or two to your eye.

    'My Girl'

Macaulay Culkin showed his versatility as an actor after starring in 'Home Alone' with 'My Girl,' which came out in 1991. He went from being a goofy kid who was left home alone at Christmas to a shy kid who made friends with a girl. His character dies from an allergic reaction to bee stings and the funeral scene is a killer.

    'The Green Mile'

'The Green Mile' with Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan was directed by the same guy behind the award winning movie 'The Shawshank Redemption.' It's based off the Stephen King novel about a man on death row who has the power of faith healing. I need a box of tissues any time I see a man tear up and the end of this movie has several men crying. It'll leave you in tears too so be prepared.
