‘Nightmare Alley’ Movie Crew Had To Bring In Their Own Snow For Buffalo Filming
When Hollywood movie makers decide to visit Buffalo during February to film scenes, it's safe to assume they would want snow on the ground -- that's just something Buffalo is known for.
The problem for the movie crew for Nightmare Alley, which stars Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett, among others, is Buffalo has had such a mild winter, snow was hard to come by for filming in downtown on Tuesday.
According to WIVB, movie crews had to truck in their own snow, which they say comes from a church parking lot on Buffalo's east side. There simply was little to none on the ground where they were filming at City Hall.
Crews also laid down white parchment over part of the ground to make it appear as snow on film....yes, fake snow used in Buffalo!
Crews for Nightmare Alley can be seen in different parts of Buffalo filming scenes. The movie is directed by Guillermo Del Toro.
