New Hartford Holiday Hero Saving Lives, One Veteran at a Time
A Holiday Hero in New Hartford is saving lives, one veteran at a time.
Owen Jassak has dedicated his life to helping others, but his true passion is for the men and women in uniform and making sure veterans get the treatment they deserve for free. The 5th grader is a hero to many who know him and even more that don't. One veteran said it best.....
Where there is struggle on one side of the fence trying to drain our last bit of energy, hope stands on the other side ready to take action. That action has a face. It is young Mr. Jassak.
Paying it forward isn’t easy, but he makes it look easy, because of the heart and dedication he puts into his craft. What this young man has accomplished exemplifies the epitome of excellence in our community, our state of New York and shall resonate through our great nation for decades to follow.
Owen touches us all with his warm heart and eager young mind in search of ways to help provide hope for others before himself. You can count the 50 stars when you look into Owen’s eyes, and see old glory wavering about inside his soul.
If Mr. Jassak did all of this at by the age of 8, what will he do at 10, 15, 30?
Thank you for being who you are. A symbol of hope for us Vets. If it wasn’t for young men like you, many of us wouldn’t be here today. YOU ARE A HERO!
Saturday, December 15th Owen will remember and honor our nations heroes, lying wreaths on veteran's graves during Wreaths Across America
