The family of Lance Corporal Jeremy Lasher, a Marine killed in Afghanistan, is asking for the return of his special coin/medallion. It stolen from his grave at Oneida Castle Cemetery over the Memorial Day weekend.

It makes me sad to think that somebody would take anything from grave, let alone the grave of a fallen hero.'

Kyle Castle, who was with Lasher when he was killed, left the medallion on his headstone three years ago. Lasher's mother Vicky Arnold says 'it's irreplaceable. We're hoping that whoever took it will realize, to them it has no meaning. It's not worth anything financially. It means more to our family. It makes me sad to think that somebody would take anything from grave, let alone the grave of a fallen hero, and on Memorial Day.'

Arnold says Jeremy chose to be buried here rather than in Arlington. 'He wanted to be buried in his hometown, next to his grandparents.'

I was hoping that few seconds it took to pry it off, their conscience would kick in

The medallion was even secured recently with double sided tape 'just so it wouldn't get moved in bad weather and is somebody decided to pick it up, it wasn't going to come up easily. I was hoping that few seconds it took to pry it off, their conscience would kick in,' explains Arnold.

Whoever took the medallion has no conscience. How can anyone stoop SO LOW! Help get the medallion back to it's rightful place. If anyone has any information on the coin, you can email amaxfield81@yahoo.com.
