It was definitely sad to hear of Dick Clark's passing on Wednesday. With his broadcast career beginning in Utica in the 1940s, he had done so much over the years for the entertainment world, especially in the realm of music. Clark was host on one of the best known music shows of all time 'American Bandstand,' which was on the air from 1952 to 1989--with Clark as host beginning in 1956.
