Have you ever wondered how long Utica, Rome, Syracuse, and the rest of CNY would be destroyed if we had a zombie apocalypse? Thanks to Cornell University researchers, we can now say we would only survive 65 hours. That's only less than three days.

Cornell University researchers designed a zombie apocalypse simulator. Here's how it works:

[It] draws data from the 2010 U.S. Census and depends on the SIR model, an epidemiological model sometimes used to predict the spread of real-life infectious diseases like measles and rubella. In the SIR model, individuals are either susceptible (S), infected (I) or recovered or immune (R) from a disease. But with zombies, of course, there's a bit of a twist: Once a zombie, always a zombie. There are no R's here."

I clicked on the map right where Oneida county was and hit play. Sadly, we only would last 65 hours according to this map. It would take over 200 hours to completely destroy New York state.
