Alison Sweeney is Leaving ‘Days of Our Lives’ After 21 Years
Say goodbye to Sami Brady. After 21 years, Alison Sweeney is leaving 'Days of Our Lives. Sweeney broke the news on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show.'
Sweeney also hosts NBC's 'Biggest Loser,' and she's been doing both shows for the past 7 years. The busy schedule leaves her hardly any time to take a vacation or spend time with her two kids, 9 year old Ben and Megan, who is 5. 'I've been on 'Days of Our Lives' since I was 16 years old, and I have never had more than a two-week vacation that whole time.'
Sweeney's character won't leave 'Days' until the end of the year but how Sami goes out is still a mystery, 'It would be awesome to have some sort of happy ending but I also think Sami deserves some sort of twisted, 'Breaking Bad' ending.'
In addition to spending more time with her children and her husband, Sweeney plans to write 'I write. My second book is coming out. I love writing. I love directing.'
