Thanks to Late April Snow, Syracuse Claims Title of Snowiest City in America for 2015
Two days of snow flurries in late April appears to have given Syracuse the crown for the snowiest city in America for the 2014-2015 winter.
According to the Syracuse Post-Standard, the Salt City received 1/10 of an inch of snow on Friday April 24, giving it 119.7 inches of snow for the winter, tying Worcester in central Massachusetts.
The same late season snowfall brought near-blizzard conditions to Sylvan Beach which a whipping wind that was captured on video by a reporter for the Rome Sentinel.
