If the snowy weather will be keeping you close to home today put on your SU apparel and cheer on the Orange as they take on West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN with kickoff scheduled for 3:15. Speaking of snow, it looks like there will be plenty of it at game time.
Jim Boeheim's 900th career win as coach of the Syracuse Orange put him very select company. He is only one of three Division-One coach's to have reached that milestone. However that is just one of a number of highlights in his long career on the hill. Aside from the obvious improvement in his taste in sports coats here are some other significant accomplishments.

With Carmelo Anthony it was "one and done". Now Syracuse center Fab Melo is making it "two and through" by announcing his intention to enter the NBA draft. Yahoo Sports reports that the 7-foot sophomore who averaged over 7 points per game and led the Big East in blocked shots has long harbored dreams of joining the pro ranks.
What a ride for Syracuse Orange men's basketball this season, as even without their star Fab Melo, they're still alive in the NCAA Tournament in the "Sweet 16".
It's been an interesting season--to say the least-- for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team. Off court issues have, at times, overshadowed what has been a magnificent year for the team which sports a 31-2 record entering the post-season. Now Boeheim's boys begin their quest for another national title with the start of "March Madness" the NCAA Tournament.
Syracuse Orange knew that Louisville could give them trouble, but they pulled it out with a one point win ove the Cardinals. The Orange will be on the road this weekend, when they take on Rutgers this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in New Jersey.
