The Memorial Day Weekend brings two nights of action at the Utica Rome Speedway.  The Empire Super Sprints invade the track Sunday night along with the usual four division lineup of racing, Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks.  There's even fireworks after the races.  Then Monday night, it's the Victoria 200 with modifieds battling for a 10 thousand dollar paycheck in the 100 lap feature.

The Sprints are my favorite dirt track racing.  It just seems like they're always on the edge of out of control.

Utica Rome Speedway fan favorite, Jessica Zemken, will be part of Super Sprint action too.  Yes, this lovely lady races, Super Sprints.  Sunday night's action begins at 5:30 with gates opening 3.

The Victoria 200 on Monday night will bring racers from several states as the winner of the modified race takes home 10 thousand dollars!  "The Vic" is a tradition that began more than 25 years ago.

The Vitcoria 200  has been run at the Fulton Speedway in honor of Victoria Benway, the late wife of Fulton Speedway owner Millard “Bub” Benway. Started in 1986 by Kingsley and Benway, the “Vic” has become a “must see” race event in the Fall for races fans throughout the Northeast, and now Utica-Rome Speedway carries on that tradition by making it a destination event for fans in the early part of the racing season.
