Utica Rome Speedway – Tad Pole’s View from the Pits [GALLERY]

I found the perfect way to cap the weekend last Sunday, the Utica Rome Speedway, Route 5 in Vernon.  I have loved dirt racing for years, there's just something about that loud thump and dirt flying that makes my testosterone flow.   So when Mitch and his crew at the speedway invited me out, I was like a kid in a candy store.  Click read more to check out some photos from the pits and a story about Pollywog and dirt racing.

It was probably 6 or 7 years ago, I took Pollywog to her to her first dirt racing action.  I like to get down there in the 4th turn and watch the dirt fly.  About heat 3 the dirt flew right into her nachos and that was the end of PW and dirt racing.  Thanks to Mitch and speedway owner, Mr. Cole for their great hospitality last Sunday.  By the way, Mr. Cole loved that nachos story, Pollywog.  You can see all the action coming to the Utica Rome Speedway here and some photos from last weeks racing action here.
