The Great New York State Fair is known for their great concert lineup, midway rides, tractor and truck pulls and their dollar baked potato.  The only problem has been the line to get that spud.  The fair has made some changes to improve how fast you get your tater, click for the details.

Darrel J. Aubertine, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets says in past years there was just one line that included the potato, condiments and a drink.  This year it will be broken into three separate lines to speed the process.

"While our goal is to reduce the lines, which at times can stretch the width of the Horticulture Building, one thing isn't going to change.  Your baked potato will remain one dollar, which remains one of the greatest deals at the Great New York State Fair," said Aubertine.  "I'll get in line for my potato.  Hope to see you there!"

Today they also announced their new fair food, The Southern Fried Chicken Donut Sandwich.  A fried chicken breast fillet between halves of a glazed donut.  Get more details here.
