A change in dates and location for the Rome Farmer's Market is creating a lot of Facebook conversation. The City of Rome and Positively Rome are partnering with several other groups to create The Downtown Market. So, what's all the discussion about?

The market is moving from the previous location, Franklin Field to City Hall Green at 198 Washington Street. The location provides better parking and makes it more handicap accessible. However, the date and time change have lots of people commenting on the topic.

June 15 through October 5, the market will be open on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The first Friday of each month, it will stay open until 6 p.m. Closing at 5 has working families concerned about making it to the market before they close.

The market will also feature food trucks hoping that people can shop and have lunch all in one place. If you'd like to be part of the market as a vendor, an application can be download at Positively Rome's Facebook page.
