The New Hartford Chamber of Commerce had hoped to extend their successful spring farmer's market into the fall season. But a construction project has put the plan on hold for now.

For the 1st time in 10 years, New Hartford had their own Farmer's Market this spring at the New Hartford Shopping Center's Upper parking lot. Following a ten-week run that began June 20, Chamber officials thought the market would be able to continue at Sherrill Brook Park starting today.

The holdup is the second phase of the park's redevelopment. They're in the midst of constructing a pavilion that will give vendors a place to display their goods and visitors a comfortable stroll through the displays. There's still hope the Farmers Market can get relocated before the snow flies.

The Utica Food Truck Association will still be holding their Picnic in the Park at Sherill Brook beginning at 4 p.m. Vendors interested in the Fall Farmers Market can apply online or call Farmers Market Coordinator Nathalie Nerber at 315-797-7300 to secure a spot.
