Every Monday during the summer season, the Whitesboro Farmers Market takes place on the Village Green (corner of Main and Clinton Streets) from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Another nice thing about living in central New York is being able to buy locally home-grown fruits and vegetables.
The "Frog Days Of Summer" are filled with fun family events. An event I attended was a free outdoor concert last night at Pulaski Park in New York Mills to watch Fritz's Polka Band (who are on a first-name basis with Matt Herkimer). Today, you have plenty of events to choose from.
It wasn't only a great day for the Boilermaker on Sunday, it was also a wonderful day to get out of the house and enjoy the beautiful weather. And, that's exactly what I did. I decided to go to the Westmoreland Farmer's Market and check things out.
It was opening day on Saturday, June 25, of the Oneida County Public Market at Union Station in Utica. Although the sun wasn't out, many residents were out and about taking advantage of the great things the market had to offer.
