Today we recognize Eisenhut Farms in Waterville, nominated by Alicia Eisenhut.

I would like to thank Eisenhut Farms in Waterville, NY. My dad Karl Eisenhut and grandfather Jim, started farming in 1959 on Route 12 in Waterville, then later sold and bought another farm across the hill where the farm continued its name. We have 100 head of Holstein dairy cattle. My family grows there own crops and we harvest them our selves as well as doing custom field work for others around the area. When it comes to helping rescue cattle from a barn fire and putting himself into danger from smoke inhalation that would be my father, or just helping with others field work. He is truly a very hard working man who hardly gets time with his family but manages to find time in between field work and the farm. When I was 13 years old I joined a local 4H Club and wanted to be like everyone else and have my own cows and take them to the fairs and show them. So when I was 15 years old my dad purchased a big black heifer for me by the name of Dutch Treat Muffy-Duck -ET and from then on I was bringing home blue ribbons and trophy's.. My dad is a person who likes to make sure his machinery looks good and takes pride and joy in everything he has. My dad, when he does have time, likes to tractor pull at local county fairs and is very well known for his tractor he has had since the age of 13 years old. 2 years ago he actually had it restored to its original condition.
