The Fredericks family owns and operates a 500 head Dairy farm outside Little Falls. They are the third generation to farm on this land and are raising the fourth generations on this farm as well.

Chris and Jess Fredericks own and operate the farm with Jess in charge of the cows and Chris taking care of crops and everything else. 'I really enjoy the cow side. I'm a people person but these are easier to work with, I'm not gonna lie,' Jess jokes.

Chris designed the barn that had cow comfort in mind. 'They are the queens. They're your livelihood. You have to treat them like they are on a pedestal because if she's not going to make milk, you're not going to get paid,' explains Jess.

If Chris isn't sleeping, he's working on the farm. 'We never stop. By doing that, it really keeps us excited. You know, what are we doing today. We're always trying to make things better,' says Chris.

Farming is a family affair for the Fredericks. Natalie pitches in before and after school.  She even has her own bull named 'Bobby.'

The Fredericks don't farm because they have to. They farm because they want to. 'It's a way of life. We don't look at it as a job. If you love what you do, it makes life easier,' says Jess.

'Farming has been my family's way of life for so many years and it's so nice to see all of the hard work that goes into making a family farm work is finally noticed,' says Katie Fredericks, who created a video to show the life of farmer.
