Country Hopefuls James David Carter and Allison Bray Join Blake Shelton’s Team on ‘The Voice’ Premiere [VIDEOS]
The new season of 'The Voice' is back with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Each coach picked up two artists during the premiere with country hopefuls Allison Bray and James David Carter joining #TeamBlake.
James David Carter
James David Carter, who once opened for Blake Shelton in Atlanta, back when Blake 'had a mullet,' received a standing ovation after a 4 chair turn. Blake called his performance of Kevin Sharp's 'Noboby Knows' the best country audition I have ever heard.' Despite everyone fighting to have Carter on their team, everybody knew he'd choose #TeamBlake.
If iTunes is any indication, Carter is already on his way to gaining lots of new fans.

Allison Bray
If at first you don't succeed, try again. Allison Bray returned to the blind auditions after not getting any chairs to turn in her previous audition. This season, 3 chairs turned for her performance of Kacey Musgraves 'Merry Go Round.' Despite Adam Levine fighting to have her choose to be on his team, Bray made the wise choice and went to #TeamBlake.
Thank you for the love and support. I'm so overwhelmed by everything and so unbelievably blessed to have been presented w this opportunity.
