Did you know car seats expire? Walmart is giving out gift cards for your old car seat during it's baby month event.

Walmart has teamed up with TerraCycle to recycle used car seats as part National Baby Safety Month. From September 16–30, bring in the car seat your child has outgrown and get a $30 Walmart gift card for your baby's next car seat. All car seats collected will be recycled.

Any car seat brand will be accepted but you're only allowed 2 trade-ins per household. Booster seats are not eligible for trade in.

Walmart stores are also holding a Best of baby month event with information on baby health and safety tips. You can interact with some must-have gear and nursery items. There will be a diaper challenge, stroller testing, the car seat trade-in, and more.

The event will be at select Walmart stores on either Saturday, September 28 or Sunday, September 29, 2019. Central New York stores will hold the event on Sunday from 2pm-6pm.

Target is also exchanging cars seats. You have until September 13th to take it to guest services for a 20% discount on a new one.
