The City of Buffalo recently had the honor of hosting the commissioning ceremony for the USS Little Rock - LCS 9. Take a look at the Navy's newest warship.

The USS Little Rock is the second of it's name - the original was in service during WWII and was brought to Buffalo after being taken out of service in 1976.

The new USS Little Rock is a Littoral Combat Ship(LCS) that will patrol waters close to shore.

It's equipped with a helipad, a small boat ramp, and can be used by small assault forces.

Here's a drone-eye-view of the newly commissioned USS Little Rock taken while it was docked at Buffalo harbor.
