Trace Adkins will be returning to television in May by way of an appearance on the NBC medical drama, The Night Shift. Trace is no stranger to the small screen. You may remember his time as a contestant on Donald Trump's Celebrity ApprenticeInstead of competing for money for charity, the country giant will be playing the role of a military veteran who leads a therapy group attended by one of the show's main characters, Dr. TC Callahan. The episode is set to premiere on May 4th. The Night Shift airs every Monday on NBC at 10 p.m.

This is not Trace's first experience with acting. He has also had roles in such works as
The Lincoln Lawyer, Lifted, My Name is Earl and many more. He also has a number of projects in the works. Trace Adkins is an overall entertainer and I am sure he'll knock this role out of the park. The military has a special place in Adkins' heart. He is not only a spokesperson for
The Wounded Warrior Project, but he has also participated in several USO tours. Keep up the good work Trace!
