A bat has tested positive for rabies in the Town of Vienna, according to the Oneida County Health Department. The bat was sent to the New York State Department of Health Wadsworth Center for testing and positive results were reported on Wednesday, June 10th. One child had exposure to the bat and received post exposure prophylaxis.
The Oneida County Health Department has learned of additional dates and times worked by a LaRoma’s Pizzeria employee who tested positive for Hepatitis A.
A Rome hospital, in partnership with state and county health departments, will give drive-thru vaccines this week for those who may have been exposed to Hep A.
