As we've reported in past weeks, there have been several confirmed cases of rabies in Oneida County. Now the Oneida County Health Department is urging pet owners to make sure their pets receive the rabies vaccine.
The milder weather that we've been experiencing this winter in central New York has its advantages and disadvantages. One problem is that wild animals normally dormant in the woods are wandering out into populated areas, and now the first confirmed case of a rabid animal in our area in 2012 has been reported in Camden.
