Tonight, American Idol kicks off its 11th season with auditions in Savannah, Georgia. On Thursday, it's off to Pittsburgh for more. The eight audition episodes will also send judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez to Aspen, Galveston, Portland (Oregon), San Diego and St. Louis.  Will they find more country stars like Scotty McCreery and Carrie Underwood, or will this season crown a

Boot camp is over and 'The X-Factor' judges now have their teams of eight.  Simon Cowell will be mentoring the girls that include Caitlin Koch of Buffalo who blew the judges away with her first audition.  Hopefully she'll go far.  It's always nice to see local talent make it big.

The 2 night premiere of 'The X-Factor' on Fox continued and this time a gal from New York stole the show.  Caitlin Koch is a rugby coach and player from Buffalo.  She's only 21 and is beautiful.  Plus she can sing; really well.  Her version of 'Stop In The Name of Love' earned her high praise and 4 yes votes, to sail through to the next round.  Check out her audition

The new Simon Cowell show 'The X-Factor' premiered on FOX.  The singing competition is open to anyone 12 or older.  Solo artists, duos and groups are also allowed.  The winner not only receives 500 million bucks but they also get to appear in a Pepsi commercial during the Super Bowl.  How cool is that! 13 year old Rachel Crow kicked off the show when she auditioned in front of not only the 4 judge

After a record breaking 95 million votes, America has spoken.  Country rules!  Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina will fight it out next week to be crowned this year's American Idol.  Haley Reinhart was eliminated last night, making it the youngest finale in Idol history.  Lauren is just 16 years old and Scotty is 17.

The Top3 took on 3 songs on American Idol, while being mentored by Beyonce.  Round one was songs of each contestants choice.  Scotty McCreery had the honor of kicking the night off and chose, Lonestar's "Amazed."  Randy Jackson praised Scotty for his great song choice.

Paula Abdul has signed on as the fourth and final judge of 'The X Factor,' the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Sources say negotiations went down to the wire, due in part to her deal with CBS to appear on the dance-competition series 'Live to Dance.'

The top 5 on American Idol sang two songs for 'Then & Now' week.  Scotty McCreery rocked the stage with Montgomery Gentry's "Gone."  He owned the stage and rocked the crowd.  It was a side of Scotty we haven't seen, and I loved it.
