The Top 6 on American Idol took on songs from Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Carol KingScotty McCreery bounced back in a big way from last week "safe" performance.  He was told by the judges to step up his game and go outside the box.  And that's just what he did with "You've Got a Friend."  It was his best performance on the show yet.  And I'm sure the girls melted as he poured out his heart and voice on stage.

Country Gal Lauren Alaina also stepped things up this week.  She pushed her voice to hit notes she's never hit before.  And Miley Cyrus stopped by for a surprise visit and to provide some inspiration before Alaina sang "Where You Lead, I Will Follow."

Despite Scotty and Lauren doing better than they've ever done, James Durbin was the man of the night with his rock version of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow."  Randy Jackson predicted Durbin winning the whole competition.

James may or may not win, but he definately won' t be going anywhere tonight.  Neither will Scotty or Lauren.  I think it's the end of the road for Jacob Lusk.  What do you think?  Who is going home?   Idol runner up Crystal Bowerstock will return to the stage and one more will be sent home tonight at 8 on FOX.  If you miss it, tune us in tomorrow morning at 8:10 for your Idol update.
