Some Lowlife is Stealing From the Amish

Fruit stands are common around central New York. Take what you want and leave the cash behind. But some lowlife is stealing food from one Amish stand in West Edmeston.

The Amish family who is seeing their fruits and vegetables go missing, are turning the other cheek. A note has been left for the thief, offering extra food. "Please inquire at the house. You do not need to steal. We appreciate your honesty."

The honest customers looking for cantaloupe or melons won't find them at the stand. They'll have to ask at the house "due to our thief friend."
