Police Find Over 200 Pounds of Pot, Upstate New York Couple Charged
That's one big pile of pot! New York State Police found it after pulling over an upstate New York couple for a traffic violation. You'd think if you're driving around with that much marijuana you'd be extra careful behind the wheel.
State troopers stopped the vehicle on the NYS Thruway in Chatham May 17th for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. A K9 searched the vehicle, smelling and finding over 200 pounds of marijuana.
29 year-old Corey Heald and 51 year-old Kelly Heald, both of Massena, New York, are chared with Criminal Possession of Marijuana. Both were arraigned and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
