A new law is designed to expand opportunities for cannabis microbusinesses, giving smaller operators more ways to connect with customers and compete in the state’s growing cannabis industry.

The idea behind the legislation is to make sure the industry isn’t just controlled by the biggest companies. Smaller growers, entrepreneurs, and local cannabis businesses will now have more opportunities to get their products in front of customers.

More Chances to Meet Customers Face-to-Face

One of the biggest changes is that licensed cannabis microbusinesses will now be able to fully participate in Cannabis Showcase Events.

These events allow approved cannabis businesses to meet directly with consumers through pop-up events, farmers’ markets, and public market events.

The state says these events can also help strengthen partnerships between cannabis businesses and local communities, creating more opportunities for smaller companies that may not have the same resources as larger operations.

Helping the “Little Guys” Grow
