It's getting closer.  The Tour de Cure at Verona Beach State Park is June 3rd and I haven't really started training yet.  Oh, I've been on my bike from Schuss Ski & Bike Shop a few times, but not enough to be ready for a 15 mile ride.  However, the weather hasn't been all that nice recently.  I did manage to get on the bike yesterday afternoon since it was so nice, and I rode for a whole hour.  I'm not even sore today.  So, that's a good sign.

The ride wasn't an easy one since I haven't been on a bike in 15 years but I made it.  Watch my ride and pardon the singing.  I had my iPod with me while I rode and sang along.  It was a little off key.  But it helped make the ride go faster.  And once I figured out how to change gears, all was well.

There is still time to sign up to ride.  Join the 'Pedallin' With Polly Wogg' team and plan to attend a training session to get prepared.  If you're not a bicyclist, you can join me in bringing up the rear.  At least I won't be alone as the last one to finish.  My family is taking bets on whether or not I'm even going to finish.  I'm thinking if I lasted an hour yesterday, I may have a chance.

Training rides have been set up to get ready for the Tour de Cure.
