Late Local Coach to Be Honored at Annual Coaches Versus Cancer Game
This weekend a very special man will be remembered in a very special way. Thad Ziemba spent several years volunteering his time as assistant basketball coach for the Clinton girls Varsity team. He recently passed away from cancer and he will be remembered before this Saturday's annual Coaches vs. Cancer game at Clinton High School.
In between the 1 p.m. JV game and the Varsity girls games is when the ceremony will take place. They will honor Coach Ziemba by etching Coach Z's name on a team chair that will also read "with us always." The chair will remain empty in the gym for all home games never to be used again. What a great way to say thank you to a man who gave so much of his time and life to the sport and community he loved.
