People all across the country are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness this month, and right here in upstate NY, there's a pretty spectacular show of support on display.
Parents and taxpayers are starting to lose their patience with a standstill that has occurred with the New York Mills School District and their cafeteria renovation project. The project began at the end of the school year in June 2016, and after soon after school began, things halted. Now the kids are limited on their recess options, and are eating in the elementary school gymnasium.
Students from Bradley Elementary in New Hartford traveled to Darien Lake over the weekend to compete in the annual music festival. In addition to riding some crazy coasters the students in the chorus, band, and string orchestra performed for the top prize. The orchestra took first place, while the band and chorus also placed in the top 5.
This weekend a very special man will be remembered in a very special way. Thad Ziemba spent several years volunteering his time as assistant basketball coach for the Clinton girls Varsity team. He recently passed away from cancer and he will be remembered before this Saturday's annual Coaches vs. Cancer game at Clinton High School.
