Kentucky Derby Goes Musical

The Kentucky Derby is more than just a horse race, and I know it will be on our TV in the McShea household.  The Derby, the first leg of  "The Triple Crown" will take place on Saturday, May 7th at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert, KixBrooks, Wynonna Judd, Lee Ann Womack and Travis Tritt will represent country music at the annual Barnstable Brown Gala that kicks off the Kentucky Derby. The event, which is a fundraiser for the Barnstable Brown Diabetes and ObesityResearchCenter, reads as a who's who of entertainment and sports. According to the Lexington Herald Leader, the guest list also includes Taylor Dayne, DMCof Run DMC, Mary Wilson of The Supremes, Nick Lachey, Kate Gosselin from Kate Plus Eight, the NFL's Terry Bradshaw and Tom Brady, Olympians Lindsey Vonn and Johnny Weir, Kevin and Nick Jonas, and supermodel Niki Taylor.

The Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve Gala takes place in Louisville.
